Quick answer: Yes. One Chicago returns with new season premieres on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 on NBC. Chicago Med Season 12 airs at 8 p.m. ET, Chicago Fire Season 15 at 9 p.m. ET, and Chicago P.D. Season 14 at 10 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the following day on Peacock.
The three-show block is back in its familiar order, but the new season numbers and next-day streaming details have caused some confusion. NBCUniversal has now published the full premiere-night schedule, so viewers can plan the entire Wednesday lineup in one place.
One Chicago schedule for October 7, 2026
| Show | Season | NBC time | Streaming |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chicago Med | Season 12 | 8 p.m. ET | Next day on Peacock |
| Chicago Fire | Season 15 | 9 p.m. ET | Next day on Peacock |
| Chicago P.D. | Season 14 | 10 p.m. ET | Next day on Peacock |
This timing comes directly from NBCUniversal’s October 1 announcement.
Is Chicago Med new tonight?
Yes. Chicago Med opens One Chicago Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET with the Season 12 premiere. Peacock’s official Chicago Med page also confirms the October 7 return and next-day Peacock availability.
If you watch live through a local NBC affiliate, check the local guide because station scheduling can occasionally shift for special coverage.
Is Chicago Fire new tonight?
Yes. Chicago Fire begins Season 15 at 9 p.m. ET, immediately after Chicago Med. That keeps the franchise’s firehouse drama in the center hour of the Wednesday block.
Is Chicago P.D. new tonight?
Yes. Chicago P.D. Season 14 premieres at 10 p.m. ET and closes the three-hour franchise night. Viewers who prefer streaming can wait for the Peacock release rather than watching live.
When will the new episodes be on Peacock?
NBCUniversal says new One Chicago episodes stream the following day on Peacock. That means the October 7 premieres should be available there on October 8, subject to normal platform publishing times and regional availability.
Peacock also carries past seasons, which is useful if you need to catch up on a storyline before starting the new run.
Will One Chicago keep airing every Wednesday?
NBCUniversal says new episodes air Wednesday nights starting at 8 p.m. on NBC. Normal network seasons can still contain planned breaks, holiday gaps or preemptions later in the year, so “every Wednesday” should be understood as the regular slot rather than a guarantee of 52 uninterrupted weeks.
What order should you watch the shows?
For premiere night, the simplest order is the broadcast order: Chicago Med, then Chicago Fire, then Chicago P.D.. That is especially useful when crossover references appear because the franchise is designed as a connected Wednesday block.
Not every episode is a formal crossover, so watching only one series remains possible. But viewers following all three should keep the NBC order.
Why October 7 matters for the franchise
The date launches three new seasons at once: Season 12 for Med, Season 15 for Fire and Season 14 for P.D.. NBCUniversal says the three-hour block helped make NBC the most-watched entertainment network on Wednesdays during the 2025-26 season, which explains why the network continues to treat One Chicago as a unified programming night.
How to watch One Chicago without cable
Live access depends on whether a streaming TV service carries your local NBC station. Another option is Peacock the next day. Before signing up for any live-TV service, check local-channel availability for your ZIP code because NBC affiliate coverage varies by market.
What if the NBC app shows a different time?
National schedules are usually listed in Eastern time, while local stations and device guides display local time. Use your local affiliate’s guide as the final reference for live viewing. On the West Coast, some network programming may be presented according to the local feed rather than a simple three-hour conversion from Eastern.
Can you watch all three on Peacock?
Peacock promotes access to the One Chicago franchise, including Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.. New episodes are advertised for next-day streaming after their NBC broadcast.
