Quick answer: Hollow Knight is part of Epic’s confirmed Fortnitemares 2026 crossover lineup, with the collaboration scheduled to hit the Fortnite Item Shop around 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET on October 7 according to current release reporting. The Knight is expected as a Sidekick, not an Outfit. The broader cosmetic list has been datamined, so names and prices should be treated as provisional until Epic’s Item Shop shows them live.

What has Epic actually confirmed?
Epic included Hollow Knight in the official Fortnitemares 2026 crossover lineup. That is the important confirmed piece: the collaboration itself is real.
At the time of this check, Epic had not published a final store page listing every cosmetic name and price. Dataminers have exposed additional assets and multiple gaming outlets have reported them, but those details can change before the shop refresh.
The Knight is a Sidekick, not a skin
The most common search question is whether Fortnite is getting a playable Hollow Knight Outfit. Current reporting says no: The Knight appears as a Sidekick. A Sidekick follows the player’s character rather than replacing the player’s Outfit.
That distinction explains why previews can show The Knight beside a Fortnite character instead of using Fortnite’s normal humanoid skin proportions.
Reported Hollow Knight cosmetics
Datamined reporting points to a compact themed set that includes The Knight Sidekick and additional cosmetics such as a pickaxe, back bling and an emote. The emote reportedly references the familiar bench-resting imagery from Hollow Knight.
Important: because Epic had not published the complete item list and prices at the time of this update, AVARIXO is not presenting leaked V-Bucks numbers as guaranteed. Check the live Item Shop before purchasing V-Bucks specifically for one item.
Why the date looked inconsistent in early guides
Some guides tied the crossover to Fortnite’s normal 00:00 UTC shop rotation, while later reporting placed the Hollow Knight drop at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on October 7. This is why you may see both October 7 and October 8 in search results.
The practical rule is simple: if the crossover is not visible at an earlier refresh, use the widely reported 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET October 7 window and check the shop again. Do not assume the collaboration was cancelled based on an older time conversion.
Is Hollow Knight part of Fortnitemares?
Yes. It is one of the crossovers attached to Fortnitemares 2026. AVARIXO’s broader Fortnitemares 2026 guide tracks the event’s map content, bosses, weapons and crossover roadmap separately.
What to check when the bundle goes live
- Open the Item Shop after the expected refresh window.
- Confirm whether The Knight is sold individually, in a bundle, or both.
- Compare the live V-Bucks price with leaked estimates rather than assuming a leak is final.
- Review Sidekick restrictions before buying if your goal was a playable Outfit.
- Check whether any cosmetic has a separate style or interaction not obvious from the store thumbnail.
